Domain name renewals

From Blue Lightning Internet

Jump to: navigation, search

Introduction

In order to maintain an accurate record of domain names, customers and billing information, Blue Lightning Internet has a strict procedure by which domain name and e-mail management packages are renewed every year. This procedure differs slightly according to which sort of domain name you have, but is essentially the same. Please observe the table below carefully. In a nutshell, you can avoid any risk of losing service or your domain name altogether if you ensure that invoices for domain name and e-mail management packages are paid on time.

Important Notes

  • If a domain name is suspended either by ourselves or by the Registrar after the renewal date has elapsed, you are still liable for the renewal from the renewal date, and not the date on which the domain name was suspended.
  • If you receive an invoice directly from the Registrar, it will be several times more expensive than our invoice. You can avoid paying Registrar invoices by paying our invoice and on doing so the Registrar will cancel their own invoice.
  • If a service is canceled due to non-payment, you are still liable for the invoice to which the cancellation relates, since no adequate cancellation notice was given by you, and unless it is settled it will be passed to a debt collection agency. The service will not be reinstated on payment of the invoice.
  • This renewal procedure constitutes part of our terms and conditions for the registration and renewal of domain names through our Domain Name and E-mail Management packages.
